THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF THE SIERRA LEONE POLICE RECEIVES A PRESIDENTIAL AWARD

In a ceremony that marks Sierra Leone’s 60 years of Independence, held at the office of the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone on the 27th April 2021, the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police, Dr. Ambrose Michael Sovula received an award as ‘Grand Commander of the Order of the Rokel’, issued by no less a person than His Excellency, Brigadier Retired Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The Presidential award was not only a sign of recognition; rather, it was also a symbol of hard work and commitment in serving mankind/humanity.

In his one year service to the People of Sierra Leone as the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Ambrose Michael Sovula had displayed exemplary performance in his line of duty and the drastic decline in the rate of crime across the country could be evidentially attributed to his exemplary performance.
