The Inspector General of Police – Mr. Ambrose Michael Sovula helped mobilised resources to support community-driven projects to construct a church (St. John Paul II) mosque and a school at his home town in Bongor Ngao Chiefdom.
All three projects were completed and officially opened on Wednesday 23rd December, 2020. The Right of Dedication of the Church was led by His Lordship Most Reverend Charles A. M Campbell, Bishop Catholic Diocese of Bo.
The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) which is operated under the Police Act No. 7 of 1964 is the national police force of the Republic of Sierra Leone. The SLP is primarily responsible for law enforcement and crime investigations throughout Sierra Leone. The Sierra Leone Police is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a cabinet ministry in the Government of Sierra Leone. This Ministry is responsible for the internal safety and security of the State.
