The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) wishes to address concerns regarding a graphic video accompanied by an audio message currently circulating on social media. This disturbing content depicts the dismemberment of an unidentified individual and falsely claims that the incident occurred at Ogoo Farm in Sierra Leone, asserting that the perpetrator has been apprehended and taken to the police station in Mambol. Additionally, there are claims suggesting that the victim was a pupil from Divine School.
The SLP would like to make it abundantly clear that the graphic video and the incident depicted therein did not occur in Sierra Leone. To clarify this matter, the police have consulted Mr. Foday Kekuda Mansaray, the headman of the Mambol community, who characterized the claims as false, malicious, and an attempt to incite unnecessary alarm among community members.
The SLP urges the public to continue with their daily activities as usual, assuring everyone that the police remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens at all times.
